Get the band going

  1. The musical director (MD) opens FOLLOW ME and taps HOST AS MD. A 4-letter band code appears at the top.
  2. Each band member opens FOLLOW ME (or this website), taps JOIN BAND, types the code and picks their part. Or they scan the QR on the MD's screen with the phone camera.
  3. Band members tap TAP TO START once, with in-ears plugged in. That turns the voice on and keeps the screen awake.
  4. The MD taps a cue. Every phone flashes it and speaks it together.

Common questions

I can't hear the voice. Tap TAP TO START on the band screen. In Settings, check the voice volume and that "Flash only" is off. In the iOS app the voice plays even with the silent switch on.

The voice lands late in my wireless in-ears. Bluetooth and wireless IEM packs add delay. Open Settings and slide Latency to the right until the voice lands on the beat.

No internet at the venue. Run the FOLLOW ME room server on a Mac on the same Wi-Fi (or on the MD's phone hotspot). The iOS app finds it automatically under Settings › Room server, or type the address the server prints.

MIDI controllers. Plug in a USB-C pad or keyboard, or pair a Bluetooth MIDI controller from the KEY MAP screen. Map any key to a cue with drag and drop or MIDI Learn. If your DAW or MPC sends MIDI clock, FOLLOW ME switches to SYNC mode and can land cues on the beat or bar.

What does the Band Plan add? The free plan covers one band member and section cues (STOP and HOLD always work). The Band Plan ($9.99/month or $79/year, paid by the MD) adds up to 24 band members and every cue: chords, commands, dynamics, tempo, key changes and countdowns. Band members never pay.

Cancel or restore a subscription. On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. To restore on a new device, open the Band Plan screen in FOLLOW ME and tap Restore purchases.
